Examples of client home health care needs
Example 1: John needs 5 hours of care per day
John is mostly independent and likes living at home, but as he has gotten older, or perhaps because of surgery, John finds that he needs little help with some daily tasks. So we provide transportation to and from his Doctor’s appointments, take care of errands like grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and meal prep.
Example 2: George needs 12 hours of care per day
George lives full time with his son/daughter who serves as his primary caregiver, but because of a severe disability, George can’t be left alone and needs assistance throughout the day while his son/daughter is at work. George also needs assistance while his son/daughter is taking care of evening responsibilities or attending events.
Example 3: Martha needs 24/7 live-in care
Martha is terrified of living in a nursing home but does not live with someone who is able to care for her. She requires 24/7 care and can’t be left alone. We can provide this via rotating shifts, or a live-in situation can be arranged. This arrangement is often used for our clients with major health issues, paralysis due to stroke, or dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. In this situation, our certified home health aides help with all aspects of personal and companion care including personal hygiene, toileting, light housekeeping, transportation, meal prep, feeding, and daily tasks.
